How to check your Suthra Punjab bill
Your sanitation bill can be checked on the official Suthra Punjab portal using the 20-digit PSID printed on your bill. This guide shows you where to find it, how the official check works, and how to pay.
What the Suthra Punjab bill is
Since the program’s rollout, households and businesses across Punjab pay a monthly sanitation fee that funds door-to-door waste collection, street sweeping, drain cleaning, and disposal. It usually arrives as a separate bill or as a line item alongside your other municipal charges, depending on your district.
The amount depends on your property category: residential bills are set by plot size, commercial bills by business type and size. For the full breakdown, see our billing and fees guide.
Find your 20-digit PSID
PSID stands for Payment Slip ID. It is the 20-digit number printed on your Suthra Punjab bill, and it is the key to everything: checking the bill online and paying it through any banking channel. Before you start, keep your printed bill (or a clear photo of it) in front of you.
- On the printed bill: look for a field labeled PSID, Payment Slip ID, or consumer reference. It is 20 digits long.
- On ePay Punjab receipts: if you paid before, the PSID appears on the payment confirmation too.
- No bill at all? If you have never received one, your area may not be billed yet, or the bill may be in someone else’s name (common in rented houses). The amount can also be confirmed by calling 1139.
Check your bill on the official portal
Follow these steps on the government’s own site. Nothing here happens on our pages.
Open the official portal
Go to suthra.punjab.gov.pk and find Bill Check Online (sometimes listed under Billing).
Enter your 20-digit PSID
Type the PSID exactly as printed on your bill, all 20 digits, no spaces or dashes. Double-check each digit: one wrong number pulls up someone else’s record or nothing at all.
Review the bill details
You will see the billing period, the amount due, the due date, and your service category (residential or commercial). Save or print this page if you need a record.
Pay using the same PSID
Use the PSID shown to pay through ePay Punjab, your bank’s mobile app, or a mobile wallet. Details below.
How to pay
Every payment method below uses the same 20-digit PSID, so the bill and the payment always match.
- ePay Punjab: the government’s own payment app and web portal. Select the Suthra Punjab / sanitation bill option and enter your PSID.
- Bank mobile apps: most major banks list government and utility payments; choose the sanitation bill option and enter the PSID.
- Mobile wallets: JazzCash, Easypaisa, and similar wallets support PSID-based government payments.
- Bank branches and agents: give the teller your PSID if you prefer paying in person.
Always keep the payment receipt or SMS confirmation until the next bill arrives showing a zero balance.
If the bill doesn’t show or looks wrong
- Nothing appears: recheck the PSID digit by digit. If it’s correct, the current cycle’s bill may not be generated yet; try again in a few days.
- Wrong amount or wrong category: compare the category on the bill with your actual property (plot size for homes, business type for shops). If it doesn’t match, that’s a billing complaint.
- Bill in the wrong name: common after a sale or in rentals. It needs a record correction, which starts as a complaint.
For any of these, file a billing complaint through the official channels: call 1139, use the complaint form on the official portal, or follow our complaints guide.
