Suthra Punjab Shehri app: what it does and how to use it.

The Shehri app is the official mobile app for reporting sanitation issues in Punjab, built by the Punjab Information Technology Board. This guide explains what it does, how to install it, and how to file a complaint through it.

What the app does

  • File complaints – report garbage, blocked drains, dirty streets, and other sanitation issues with photos and GPS location.
  • Track complaints – follow your complaint ID from registration to resolution.
  • View schedules – check waste collection schedules for your area.
  • Complaint history – see all your past complaints in one place.
Official app only: download it from the Google Play Store by searching “Suthra Punjab Shehri” and checking the developer name. Never install APK files from random websites claiming to be the Shehri app.

How to install and register

Install from Google Play

Open the Play Store, search “Suthra Punjab Shehri”, and tap Install.

Register your account

Open the app and register with your CNIC number and mobile number. You may need to verify with an OTP sent to your phone.

File a complaint

Tap File Complaint, choose the category, describe the issue, attach 1-3 photos, and confirm your GPS location.

Save your complaint ID

After submitting, save the complaint ID from the confirmation screen. Use it to track progress in the app’s My Complaints section.

Common problems

  • OTP delays – wait a few minutes and request a resend; check your signal.
  • Login issues – make sure you’re using the same mobile number you registered with.
  • Wrong GPS location – turn on high-accuracy location and retry outdoors.
  • Status not updating – field updates can lag; if a complaint sits for days past its target time, call 1139 with your complaint ID.

If the app doesn’t work for you

You don’t need the app to get help. Call the toll-free helpline 1139 or use the complaint form on the official portal. Our complaints guide walks through all three options.

Yes, it’s free for all citizens.
The official app is primarily available for Android on the Google Play Store.
No. Helpline 1139 and the official portal’s complaint form work just as well and feed the same system.
How we verified this: app features and registration steps checked against the official Suthra Punjab website and the app’s Play Store listing (last reviewed October 2026). We don’t test-login to government apps, so account-specific behavior is reported from official documentation.
